Can a truck on the road today have all the strength, capacity and features of tomorrow? The 2016 Tundra answers that question with a resounding “yes”. In fact, the Tundra is built to over-deliver in every way. Brute force describes its towing and payload capacity. Refined style describes its captivating interior. And its rugged good looks are but one-way to describe the curb appeal of every Tundra. Feature for feature, and pound for pound, there’s no other truck as capable at turning heads as it is at moving mountains like the 2016 Tundra.

Of course you expect a full-size pickup like the Tundra to be tough and capable. But the level of comfort and class that it features may come as a very pleasant surprise. The bold exterior design will get you noticed on the job site, and around the neighbourhood. On the inside, you’ll find a level of sophistication that gives the word “premium” a whole new meaning, like available leather seats with contrast stitching, soft touch materials throughout the cab, and chrome-plated accents. Not only is there plenty of head and legroom, an available 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat offers thigh support for added comfort. All together, features like these make the Tundra one of the most exciting trucks on the road today.

Real beauty is in the details. And that’s a good thing because we thought of every detail. A glove compartment that fits much more than just your work gloves is a welcome addition, as are rear-seat cupholders and an easy to access overhead console, the perfect place to store your sunglasses. But that’s not where the detail ends. With one of the largest cabins in its segment, each and every passenger can enjoy the ride to work or the ride to your weekend getaway in total comfort.

With a heritage that goes back eight decades, it’s no wonder that Toyota trucks are the world’s choice. And with a history like that, they’ve done a few interesting things over the years. Toyota trucks have had more entries in the Dakar Rally than any other brand. They were the first trucks ever driven to the Magnetic North Pole. And the South Pole. With a storied racing heritage that includes 304 o  -road wins, 27 manufacturers’ championships, and 28 o  -road drivers’ championships, Toyota trucks are winners wherever they travel. For decades Toyota trucks have journeyed far and wide. That’s why they’re perfect for Canada, from coast to coast, today and for years to come.

Toyota has over 80 years of truck history built into the 2016 Tundra. So, what does that mean for you? It means that no matter how big the job, the tow, or the crew, you’ll know that the Tundra is equipped to handle it all. In fact, the full-sized Tundra has a standard towing capacity of up to 10,500 lb. (4x2 Regular Cab 5.7 L), which means it can haul just about anything. And, all Tundras with the 5.7 L engine include an integrated, electronic trailer brake controller to help provide seamless and optimized braking control using both vehicle and trailer brakes when a trailer is attached. But it’s not just about the jobs of today that we’ve considered. Impeccable durability and reliability means that over 90% of Toyota pickups sold in Canada over the last 20 years are still on the road today.* That means your Tundra will be ready for the work and play of today and for the tomorrows still to come.

INCREASED FUEL CAPACITY (5.7 L MODELS) - The 5.7 L Tundra models feature an increased fuel capacity of 144 litres, which adds up to an improved driving range.

TRAPEZOIDAL FRAME SECTION - When you think of suspension, you probably think about up-and-down movement. But our engineers also thought about lateral stability. The trapezoidal rear section of Tundra’s TripleTech™ frame allows the rear leaf springs to be positioned toe-out, where the front is mounted farther out than the rear. The result: The trapezoidal rear frame section and the toe-out rear leaf springs when combined deliver superior lateral stability when cornering and especially while towing heavy loads.

INTEGRATED HITCH RECEIVER - Tundra is available with a towing hitch receiver, which is integrated into the frame. The 4 and 7 pin trailer connections have been repositioned to allow for greater accessibility and convenience.
