Drivability Car Control Clinics

Driving educator, activist and columnist, Gary Magwood, will be featured at the 2004 Edmonton Motor Show with his renowned DrivAbilty Car Control Clinics.

A former national racing champion and creator of his own school for racing drivers at Mosport Park, Gary has tutored some of Canada's top racing drivers. He created the Labatt Road Scholarship program and has developed training programs for police forces, car clubs, corporate fleets, drivers' ed instructors and Toronto cab drivers. His powerful and unique driving message is delivered with great energy, humour, warmth and a genuine concern for the welfare of everybody behind the wheel.

The clinics to be presented at the Edmonton Motor Show will offer show patrons a condensed version of the regular 1/2 day program. This format will accommodate as many of our patrons as possible to experience a 360° spin on SkidEquip's portable skid pad with one of Gary's professional drivers.

Motor Show Patrons will learn how to regain control of a car under hazardous conditions. For many this will be the Ride of Their Lives as they sense a car lose grip and start skidding as the instructor uses the vision techniques they teach to direct the vehicle where they want it to go.

There will be 12 cars available during the Show and times will be posted for the activity to welcome the public.

This exciting new feature will be located at the North entrance of the Agricom
